The FortiSwitch 1024E offers a secure, simple, scalable Ethernet solution with outstanding throughput, resilience and scalability. Virtualisation and cloud computing have created dense Ethernet networks with high bandwidth and large requirements. FortiSwitch meets these challenges by offering a high performance 10 GE, 40 GE or 100 GE capable switching platform with low total cost of ownership, this is ideal for top-of-rack server or firewall aggregation, as well as firewall aggregation applications and SD branch network core deployments. The switch has been customised to meet the needs of today's bandwidth-intensive environments.
The FortiSwitch Data Center Series supports FortiGate management over FortiLink, extending the Fortinet Security Fabric to the Ethernet port level. This connection allows the same policies configured and applied to FortiGate interfaces to be applied to FortiSwitch Ethernet ports, reducing complexity and management costs. Because network security and access level features are enabled and managed from a single console, centralised policy management, including. Role-based access and control, are easy to implement and manage. Users or devices can be authenticated with the same database and apply the same security policy regardless of how or where they connect to the network.

FortiCare Essential
