ATTENTION!
Please note that due to the current chip crisis, no exact delivery date can be given for the TradeUp devices. However, if you are interested, we can check individually whether the desired device is available. We will be happy to provide you with an offer.
If your licence threatens to expire before the hardware arrives, we have the option of offering you a Fortinet Co-Term for a fee. This is a licence extension where we can individually adjust the term to a specific date.
Fortinet TradeUp
Especially in times of significantly increasing demands on the throughput rates of firewalls, access points and other devices, older models often reach their limits. Depending on the size of the company, a new acquisition can then significantly exceed the budget and often forces companies to remain in the old - slower and possibly endangered - IT security infrastructure.
Thanks to Fortinet's TradeUp programme, it's now a case of "old for new", as known from many a car promotion: Simply replace your "aging" Fortinet components with the latest Fortinet generation at an extremely attractive price. The licensing of your old Fortinet product will be taken over completely as part of the exchange programme.
For a TradeUp you have the following options using the example FortiGate-60D -> FortiGate-60F:
- You buy a "naked" FG-60F according to the offer and transfer the licence of the FG-60D 1:1 to the "naked" FG-60D. You can then trigger the licence transfer manually to prevent a standstill of the FortiGate 60D - and thus a security risk. The FG-60D hardware does not have to be sent back to Fortinet and can continue to be used as a test device without any problems. However, since Fortinet stores the serial number for the FG-60D in the course of the trade-up, no more licences can be booked for the FG-60D afterwards.
- You buy a new FG-60F bundle with 3 years UTM/UTP protection according to the TradeUp conditions in the offer and get it delivered with full 3 years UTM/UTP protection (the 3 years licence period starts from the time of activation). The licence of the FG-60D would then expire regularly - so it cannot be associated with the new bundle. The FG-60D hardware does not have to be sent back to Fortinet and can continue to be used as a test device without any problems. However, since Fortinet stores the serial number for the FG-60D in the course of the trade-up, no more licences can be booked for the FG-60D afterwards.
