WLAN coverage in the form of digital WLAN planning
On our own behalf
In principle, a pure WLAN Planung for a new building or other infrastructure can be sufficient to ensure smooth WLAN functionality without taking a reference measurement in the form of a WLAN Ausleuchtung. But be careful! Precise information on the structure of all walls (concrete, brick, etc.) as well as correct length measurements according to the building plans supplied in advance are critical for success. Both are essential basics for the creation of a realistic WLAN Planung. In addition, it should be made known in advance in which places or areas ceiling or wall mounting of the surface-mounted units is NOT possible - or where no surface-mounted units may be installed at all. For example, in escape routes. Such installation details should generally be known before the start of any WLAN project. Unforeseeable, later deviations can lead to incorrect planning and thus to poor WLAN coverage. For this reason, we recommend a later reference measurement based on the previous planning.
The same applies to sources of interference that were not "on the radar" during the planning phase of a WLAN Infrastruktur project. If, for example, a steel shelf is added to the infrastructure later, this may influence the signal strength of the access points. Therefore, if possible, such sources of interference should definitely be taken into account at the beginning. Of course, this is not always possible, as infrastructures are constantly growing and have to react to the demands placed on them. In most cases, however, such problems can be rectified by adding more access points or corrections within the framework of the existing WLAN Infrastruktur - nevertheless, it is not a case of "a lot helps a lot", since access points in a high density can also interfere with each other and this can lead to Kanalüberschneidungen, among other things.
All in all, the answer to the question of whether a digital WLAN Planung is sufficient for smooth signal coverage later on is "yes". However, the details provided in advance are decisive in the war. In general, WLAN planning does not deviate from reality if the dimensions are correct, sufficient information is provided about the wall substance and "no installation zones".
But regardless of whether WLAN Planung alone or in conjunction with a later reference measurement: A WLAN Planung is always a snapshot in the course of the available construction plans - and deviations from reality can have a great influence on the quality of the WLAN.
