ENBITCon relies on DE-CIX

In the fast-moving world of IT architecture, it is crucial to keep up with the latest trends and technologies. The use of cloud solutions has become indispensable, especially for medium-sized companies. We stand out here with a special highlight: We offer our customers direct access to the Microsoft cloud via the Microsoft Azure Peering Service (MAPS) from DE-CIX. A concrete example of the added value of this solution can be seen in a worldwide network disruption at Microsoft. A large law firm from Cologne, which we support as a customer, was able to continue accessing its Microsoft cloud services and maintain its business processes thanks to peering with DE-CIX via the MAPS and GlobePEER enterprise services. But it is not only in such emergencies that our customers benefit from the partnership with DE-CIX. Peering also ensures better performance and security of cloud solutions in standard operation.

Advantages of the Microsoft Azure Peering Services

An important component of this connection is the Microsoft Azure Peering Service (MAPS), which was developed in close cooperation between DE-CIX and Microsoft. MAPS ensures that the data stream to the Microsoft cloud services always takes the shortest route to the nearest Edge PoP in the Microsoft network and is also prioritized by Microsoft. What sets us apart from other system houses is our own Autonomous System Number (ASN), which was awarded to us by the Réseaux IP Européens (RIPE) Network Coordination Center. We have been operating as a provider via this ASN since 2021, thereby expanding our portfolio of managed services. Our customers can now exchange data directly and securely with other networks and benefit from efficient communication. We are delighted to be able to offer this added value and are continuously working to further improve our service.
