The Sophos APX 740 access point is the perfect access point for the highest demands in device density and speed thanks to 4x4:4 MU-MIMO. It allows you to provide every device in the company with the fastest Wifi. The device has internal antennas, four 2.4GHz antennas and four 5GHz antennas. An additional antenna provides support for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).

Thanks to the Wave 2 standard, the access point is even three times faster than the Sophos AP100 with up to 3.6 gigabits per second.
Power can be supplied either via a power supply unit or via PoE+ (Power over Ethernet). The device requires up to 22.4 watts of power.

You can conveniently manage the devices via Sophos Central Wireless. Since November 2018, you can also manage the new access points via the Sophox XG series firewalls. Support for the SG series has been available since UTM 9.7, which was released at the end of September 2019.
