NGFW

Thanks to virtual private networks (IPSec and SSL VPN), employees have secure access to the company's resources, wherever they are and from any end device. The SSL VPN function is particularly suitable for BYOD.

Vulnerability Manager

The Stormshield Network Vulnerability Manager is natively integrated into the attack protection engine of all Stormshield Network Security appliances. Its unique, patented technology gives you real-time assurance that your network has no known vulnerabilities.

Based on data passing through the appliance, Stormshield Network Vulnerability Manager creates an inventory of operating systems, applications in use and their vulnerabilities. This map provides you with a constant overview of your network infrastructure. As soon as a vulnerability is discovered in your network, you will be informed.

Antivirus

The advent of mobile devices has led to new ways of using the corporate network. A growing number of employees now use their personal devices, often poorly protected or not protected at all, to log on to the company's internal network.

These devices have become the preferred target of cybercrime as they are not monitored by security teams and escape their control most of the time.

Maintaining comprehensive network protection against the malware that can lurk on these devices requires the installation of an antivirus solution that is placed directly in the network traffic.

The antivirus technology on Stormshield Network Security appliances is always equipped with the latest signature updates. When you run an antivirus scan on traffic from all devices connected to the network, no agent is required. Mobile devices that log on to the internal mail system thus also benefit from protection against threats that spread via email.

URL Filterung

    The Stormshield URL filtering solution offers:

  • A database with more than 100 million URLs
  • 65 website categories
  • 8 security categories (botnets, malware, hacking websites, etc.)

    • This granularity provides great flexibility in defining an accurate URL filtering policy that reflects authorised use in your organisation. For example, the category of 'dangerous' websites in categories based on competitor solutions has been replaced by 'malware', 'botnet' and 'compromised websites' in Stormshield's solutions. The distinction of these categories is highly appreciated in web traffic activity reports.

    Antispam

    Stormshield Network Security's unique architecture combines two technologies to create a highly effective double barrier to protect against spam. DNS-based blacklists use reputation analysis to identify spam senders and enable your network administrator to create blacklists to combat them.

    Stormshield Network Security assigns a "trust index" to each blacklisting server so your administrator can choose what to query. A positive list of authorised email servers is updated daily to reduce the likelihood of false positives and ensure legitimate messages arrive safely.

    Stormshield Network Security's powerful engine heuristically checks message headers and content using empirical rules and semantic analysis, detects spam sender countermeasures and even analyses HTML code. Every new category of spam, including image spam, is detected.

    Testing by ISPs has shown that Stormshield Network Security's analysis engine blocks up to 99% of unwanted email without affecting legitimate messages. Crucially, these different levels of analysis are run in parallel to offer maximum efficiency without compromising performance.

In the event of a failure, you can have a replacement device sent to you as soon as you have submitted the ticket to the manufacturer.
