Often, a WiFi infrastructure that has become "outdated" due to technical progress provides reasons for a need for optimisation, because, for example, MDE devices have been replaced and the previous WiFi network can no longer fully serve these devices. Relocations of shelves or machines in warehouses or production halls, as well as the reconstruction of the infrastructure, often cause quality losses in terms of WiFi signal strength. We provide a remedy by means of a professional WiFi analysis, in which we uncover the responsible interference factors and present you with effective optimisation proposals, taking efficiency into account.

Special requirements of your industrial environment
Is your industrial environment located in an Ex zone (explosion protection zone)?
Especially in the production area, it can happen that the desired industrial WiFi areas are located in particularly sensitive zones. Sometimes, for example, production facilities can be located in a potentially explosive area, which places extended requirements on the components in the target infrastructure.
Our "qualified persons for explosion protection (certified)" will help you to select the right access points and the required "enclosures" for the explosion protection area.
4 simple steps to your perfect Industrial WiFi
First of all, you need to clarify in a discussion which requirements your new industrial WiFi infrastructure should be subject to (see above - Requirements). Of course, you will have such a preliminary discussion with our certified WiFi experts. Furthermore, it is important to discuss what you, as our customer, particularly value with regard to the documentation and the associated recommendations for action. If possible, we will prepare the documentation according to these specifications.
Using your existing construction plans, also CAD plans, or similar graphics, we analyse the structural conditions and identify any associated sources of interference. Furthermore, such a plan serves as the basis for later documentation.
Now the planning or illumination can begin, taking into account points 1 and 2. In WiFi planning, we start by modelling your environment and simulating the signal influence of the access points we propose. If it is a question of illumination activities, such as an ACTUAL analysis, a classic site survey or a reference measurement of a previous WiFi planning, we start here with the on-site illumination. Using your existing access points or our reference devices (own access points, spectrum analyzers, etc.), a measurement is carried out in the respective areas - e.g. in order to substantiate the current ACTUAL state with optimisation proposals. In a site survey, the optimal positions of the access points are determined with the help of tripods. On the other hand, a reference measurement with the help of our equipment checks whether the expected signal strength of the access points actually corresponds to the planning or whether there are areas that cannot be reached by the planned access points. On this basis, we can then look for the causes of interference/divergences and identify the associated sources of interference. Such a measurement can also be used to clarify the condition of the building.
Based on your plans and our measurement results, we create the documentation for the planning or illumination. This contains graphical representations of all WiFi parameters, which can also be used afterwards for the configuration or optimisation of your access points. We create this heat map with the Ekahau Site Survey Software, among others.
